Sissinghurst Village Hall, also known as St. George’s Institute, is situated in the heart of the village adjacent to the Jubilee Playing Field and is the centre of community life in the village. The hall is managed by representatives from all of the village social organisations.

The Village hall is regularly used by village clubs and organisations. The Parish Council uses the hall for some meetings and it is a hive of activity as a bustling tea shop at the annual village Fete, held on the Jubilee Field every August Bank Holiday Monday.

The Village Hall is available for hire seven days a week, is 40 feet x 26 feet in size with a curtained stage at one end. It can accommodate up to 60 people for a dance or 50 people seated for a meeting or play. The kitchen facilities include an oven, microwave oven, refrigerator and ample working surfaces. Cutlery, plates, cups and saucers and glasses are available to hirers. As is constant hot water!

Tunbridge Wells Borough Council has recently approved our planning application to enhance the floor space of the hall, which means that we will not only be able to offer much more space, but also be able to improve the kitchen facilities.
